Norwalk, CT December 14, 2017 - Members from Choyce Peterson, Inc., a commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm which specializes in representing tenants, spent the morning volunteering at Diddel & Diddel’s annual Baskets from Heaven event on November 21, 2017 (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving).
Volunteers assembled and delivered nearly 400 Thanksgiving dinner baskets (with each basket including more than a dozen food items and a 25 lb. turkey) to Stamford, CT families.
Adam Cognetta, Vice President at Choyce Peterson, Inc. commented, “I participated in my first Baskets from Heaven a few years back. I had an incredibly positive experience, directly helping others in the city I grew up in. I extended the invitation to my colleagues who for the last 2 years, have embraced and supported what has become a wonderful and rewarding holiday tradition.”
This year marked the 26th anniversary of the Baskets from Heaven annual event. “We were very happy to support such a worthy organization during the holiday season and give back to our community,” added John Hannigan, Principal at Choyce Peterson, Inc.
Baskets from Heaven was created by Scott Diddel and his family after learning about the startling number of working poor families in Stamford, CT. With the help of local business and volunteers, Baskets from Heaven has donated over 5,000 baskets of food since its inception in 1991.
